Can I change the needle in my mini & if I can what is the best needle for my HS4 carburetor?

 

it depends on what motor, cam, exhaust & air filter that your running as well.

the best needle is the one that suites your engine and makes it run right and get the most ponies out of it.

 

What needle is in there now, and what are you trying to accomplish by changing it (besides more power?) Choosing the right needle is a bit complicated, as the others have noted. I'd leave it alone unless you've made other changes to the engine.

 

i have stock engine.

i need smooth running + some power.

 

needles are needed when you ad some performance parts like stage 1 stuff.

 

What HS4 do you have? Is it a Capstat (Waxstat)? If so, get a rebuild kit to replace the problematic jet tube.

as elprofe said, a stage 1 kit = aluminum intake manifold, K&N filter, new needle, lcb exhaust manifold, RC40 exhaust Best $$$ you can spend for the results.
