Hi, Looking for a recommendation on a mechanic specializing in MINI's especially Gen1 in Chicago (preferably Northshore). I got my 05MCSC serviced and modded by Helix when we were back east but now I have a clutch/shifting issue and my mechanic for our other cars, while competent and honest, may be beyond both of our comfort level. So maybe I need to start heading to someone who really knows our cars and our mods. Thanks Mike

I'll second The Werk Shop. They took really good care of me when I brought my 2007 R52 in with some odd behaviors. They fixed the problem, didn't overcharge me or invent extra work to do and advised me on things to look for in the future.

I'll be back again.
