Yay...I have a punctured runflat 😕. A little piece of plastic (seriously, plastic!?!?) punctured the middle of the tread. Unfortunately, they have too much tread depth, so I can't justify a full set of non-runflats at this point...so I am looking for a shop to patch it.

My MINI dealer won't patch runflats, and I've had bad experiences with tire shops gouging wheels in the past, so I am looking for recommendations on a tire shop that will patch runflats and not destroy my wheels...in the NW suburbs (Vernon Hills, Libertyville, Mundelein, etc. area).

I work in Libertyville and had the Midas on Milwaukee near Winchester fix my flat the other week... They did a great job. Otherwise I'd recommend you track down a Just Tires or a similar shop that specializes in tires. Good luck!

 

Yeah, I've had bad luck at tire shops for the most part. I always seem to find the ones staffed by flunkies, and my wheels have paid the price...so now I am paranoid of them.
