well i had it done... i now have rear fog lights, auto up windows controlled from key fob, my video plays even when driving, and euro flashers, ( flash twice quickly pause, flash twice again) ...im a happy camper.

 

I too met up with him for some reprogramming. Very nice guy and very educated and efficient overall with the process. Now have a bunch of nice convenience features and can retrofit the alarm system. Best part is whenever he is in the area all future reprograms are no charge. Well worth the small fee to get a bunch of coding done the dealer wouldn't even admit they were capable of doing.

 

Cool, but what's with the "closing hatch with keyfob?" That's not possible on a MINI is it?

There's a member of ChitownM that does this sort of thing for people at meets.

 

That's likely a BMW hatchback thing if its equipped with a 1-touch close he can turn on the fob to close with a button press, also there was some auto-eject key fob feature that on BMW when you hit the start-stop to kill the engine it will spit out the key. That feature is in the mini's computer but the key tray lacks the mechanism to eject the fob. He does a lot of BMW actually and said he was surprised by the amount of mini's that showed up for coding, was expecting far more beemers.
