$175 for a 12 hour day?! Knowing my luck, I'd need 24 ...

Carmichael, they say overnight storage can be negotiated... ha jk. but seriously, just get yourself a buddy and knock out the work.. i'd be going there if i didnt have a garage to work out of.. lifts are over-rated.

this place must be right next door to that Subaru speed shop... interesting.

Had a customer just do his control arm bushings at one of these places. Its a great idea if your doing a big job, especially a clutch or something.

If they included tool rental (from an impressive array of specialty tools), it'd almost be worth it ...

What kind of 'specialty tools' are you lookin to use?

I looked at what was available a while ago, I think I remembered it saying their tools were Kobalt (Lowes) brand... which is 'meh'.. but better than tryin to get it done with an adjustable, channel locks, and vise-grips....

My family toolbox is filled with everything from Snap-on, FACOM, MAC, to Craftsman and Harbor Freight. I don't buy in to the "quality surcharge" that most of the bigger companies levy when their tools come from the same factory in China.

That said, my father's old Snap-On and Craftsman tools which were made in the USA are truly durable and high quality, while the newer ones, which may or may not be made in the US, break almost as quickly as the stuff from Harbor Freight. Quality control issues aside, I've always believed in being as gentle as possible with tools, to make them last longer.

Sorry for the tirade ... I'd just had a debate with some acquaintances over the weekend about tools.

What kind of specialty tools? Stuff like pulley, bearing, ballpoint pullers, acetylene torches, welders, air source for pneumatics, odd size sockets, etc.
