Their web site indicates July. Looking forward to taking my R53 there when they open. Want to get a good inspection and armrest.

looks like they're opening a 2nd new dealership this summer.... MINI of Tinley Park.

That makes 5 dealers in the Chicagoland area:

  • Knauz MINI - Lake Bluff
  • Patrick MINI - Schaumburg
  • Bill Jacobs MINI - Naperville
  • MINI of Chicago
  • MINI of Tinley Park

Hah! Maybe they'll sell an oh-so-ironic handlebar mustache decal to apply to your Mini's bonnet... instant hipster Mini!

Good, I'm sick of dealing with Bill Jacobs' bulls**t. I would drive 100 miles to a dealership if it meant buying replacement parts didn't instill an indescribable urge to harm another human being for being rude, incompetent or completely aloof.

Or maybe I'll just order from MINI Peabody in Massachusetts and save some frustration.

Those damn hipsters and their mopeds/Vespas/Honda Ruckuses ... If they end up crowding all the parking spots by parking inconsiderately bad on Wabash ever again, they'll awaken my inner Rocker.

lol, if parking a MINI in the loop were easy (nothing is, really), then parking an old Honda "cafe racer" is even easier (nope)!

Heh, I noticed you named your MINI Chewbacca. That's my dog's name. Here he is at 8 months old (he's a year and a half old now), sitting in the passenger seat of my brother's old Miata.

*whew* ... Finals are done, and my boss gave me a day off. Nothing better to do tomorrow (I've been indoors for the past five days studying for the MPRE), so I suppose I'll drop by MINI of Chicago.

Well, this is long overdue, but I dropped by last week. Cool looking dealership. Their service area is neat looking. Small, though.

As an aside, the fabled twisties at the end of Sheridan road are a myth ... It's fun for maybe 1/4 mile, then it gets lame. :(
