Tire shop recommendations please

After getting a nice screw in the rear right tire of my run-flat 2006 MINI, I have decided to switch over to non RFT (my back left tire is almost worn out, so now's the time to switch over).

I've decided to go with the Bridgestone Portenza Grids based on reviews but am wondering if I should get them from tirerack.com (cheaper) or just get them at a shop (no shipping). Does anyone have any shops that they'd recommend? Please let me know ASAP as I'd like to get this done in the coming days.

Cheers,
Jason

Hi Jayson:

Don't know if you live near a Firestone, aka Bridgestone, service center, but I recently purchased 4 potenza 17", lifetime alignments and rotations, road hazadous insurance, balancing for $600. I'm frugal and I thought that was a fair deal.

I have called them (I currently live in Andersonville) and they seemed pretty up-and-up. It would be around $500 or so to do it all (for 16s)...

What are you thoughts on the Portenzas in Chicago?

Cheers,
Jason

They're an infinitetly better feel than the OEM Continently's Rf's that I replaced. It's like driving a different car. I've said this on many other threads, I have a cell phone, I have a Slime kit, I belong to AAA, I purchased my tires with the hazadous warranty from a shop that operates in all 50 states, I'm comfortable.
