Paint Shop/Painter

Anyone know of a good inexpensive shop or painter in the Chicago area I can use to paint parts off the car, such as spoiler, and maybe side skirts and black fender trim?

why don't you try painting them yourself?

Because I don't trust myself . It's not the actual spraying I'm concerned with, it's the prepping.

If your willing to drive out to the Schaumburg / Hoffman Estates area....

America's Auto Body on Lunt Ave, in Schaumburg, IL. My Mini was hit by a road horse thrown at me by an 18 wheeler, caused about 4000 dollars of damage, and the repair is absolutely seemless.

White Eagle Auto Body in naperville painted my m7 Extreme scoop and pulled a couple dents and the color match was perfect and they did a great job on the paintless dent repair too.

Sure, Schaumburg is not that far away from me. Do you have a phone number for them?

reasonably-priced parts-painter in Lombard

I bought an OEM hoodscoop from the dealer to paint black to match the roof of my BRG MCS ... Glenbard Auto Body on Roosevelt Rd looked at it and suggested $38 -- faboo!

Part of this is common-sense, all-around: they told me that, as long as they weren't spending monster-time trying to match a color (in my case, black is BLACK), they could keep it to a 1/2-hour charge. I told them in turn that they could wait a few days for a (whole) black car to come in to do my piece, and that sealed the deal.

I asked them specifically if they wanted more requests for small-piece-work like this if they got a mention, and they liked the idea --

Auto Body Suggestion

Here is my suggestion:

Cosmetic Auto Body and Trim

I believe they have a shop in Elk Grove and one on the northwest side of Chicago. My parents neighbor works for them and we have used them for all our car work. They do great work, and are usually pretty reasonable. Look them up in the yellow pages.

Cheers!
Brian
