Looking for Body Shop Recommendations
Looking for Body Shop Recommendations
I know this isn't related to a Mini, but I'm looking for some help from the Mini community. My son's '98 GTI was hit in the right rear fender. The bumper, rear valence and right rear quarter panel will need to be replaced. While the damage does not appear to be too extensive, it is enough that the insurance company will probably total the car.
We are considering purchasing the car back from the insurance company and getting it fixed. The car is in excellent shape and we'd like to hang on to it, if possible. Can anyone recommend a body shop in the Chicagoland area (preferrably the Western suburbs) that can do the job without costing an arm and a leg?

I like the body shop located in Schaumburg, IL. America's Auto Body. They did an excellent job with my mini when a road horse fell off a truck in front of me coming back from indiana. The gentleman I talked to was Dave. Check it out, they are really good at working with the insurance companies. I think they are Certified State Farm clain center.
