CAI Question

I recently parked my gas guzzlin F150 p/u and bought an '05 BRG MCS convertible. I think I am ready for my first major mod which is to replace the stock intake. I can buy new JCW CAI for around $250 and was wondering if this is the best bang for the buck in this price range? My intent is not to turn this into a track racer but a more peppy street ride. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated

JCW intake is highly recommended. Not as loud as the "sheet metal" intakes (Alta, DDM and others) but still provides lots of yummy supercharger sound, as well as plenty of air. Though I have a hard time calling any of them "CAI"s when it's 100F outside...

Also looks very nice - like stock - and mostly suppresses the throttle whistle at low RPMs. And has better heat management properties than the sheet metal CAIs. If you don't want to pay the $$$$ for the replacement paper filter, better and much cheaper filters are available from K&N and Amsoil. Do a search here for the part numbers.

I've also heard good things about the Madness (paper) and ITG (foam) JCW filters
