Learn to drive for real!
On Saturday, August 8th at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the North Atlantic Audi Club is holding an advanced driving skills course.
I instruct and volunteer for this non-profit, educational club. I can't tell you how ESSENTIAL this school is for every driver, no matter age or skill or confidence level.
This is an opportunity to learn to control your car in the sorts of emergency situations that can occur every day, but which you do not ordinarily have the opportunity to practice handling. Driver’s Ed teaches you the basic rules of the road, but does not teach you how to handle the four basic types of skids, how weight transfer affects the handling of a car, how to threshold brake, or the importance of proper situational awareness.
Most drivers have attended driver’s ed, and yet most drivers – teens and adults alike – have little proficiency at emergency maneuvers, accident avoidance, and have often picked up bad habits such as improper hand position, cell phone use, and tailgating.
Driving is the most dangerous activity that most people engage in on a daily basis. You might as well become a little more of an expert at it!
Your day will be spent alternating between classroom sessions that present the theory behind car dynamics and explain the upcoming exercises, and hands-on driving exercises with an instructor in your passenger seat giving you expert advice. We strive to provide as much ‘seat time’ as possible (that is, the driver’s seat!) as that is where you will learn best.

Or message me for more details. Minis LOVE this stuff Any make or model of car is welcome to attend, though no trucks or SUVs are permitted for insurance (and rollover) reasons.
