Do any fellow Canadians know if we can track our MINI through production/shipping the way our US friends can? I can't find anywhere on mini.ca where you can do that.

No, we cant. But your salesman is able to track it if your ask for it. Mine is getting on the train today from the car port in Halifax to Montréal

My old man seems to remember a Cooper club existing in Fredericton, but that was waaaaaaaaaaay back in the '70s.

Hi all, I'm in London, Ontario, and I currently own a 2005 MINI Cooper in Chili Red with white top.

Just placed an order for a brand new 2008 MINI Cooper S in Dark Silver Metallic with black top, chrome mirror caps, 18" JCW R105's, Roster Red/Ray Cloth Interior, sport package (dealer is buying back the 17' flame spokes because of the JCW wheel upgrade), heated seats, hi-fi stereo, chrome-line package, auto 6-speed gearbox (which I found to be damn near as good as the VW GTI's DSG tranny)....

I can't get over how damn fast the new S is, specially compared to my slow as heck cooper, but I still love it though, will be a shame to see it go, nice car..

SO EXCITED, CAN'T WAIT!!!

Paul here in Kelowna BC. Placed an order for a 2008 MINI Cooper in Sparkling Silver/Black on May 9th. I thought it would be a unique vehicle until my wife spotted an identical version this past weekend. Hopefully they're from out of town!

I find it very frustrating knowing that our friends stateside can track the build/delivery process so much easier than we can. At least my dealer had an allotment spot that he was able to amend so I didn't have to wait for that part. I got my production number last week (after prodding my MA a couple of times), but don't know the production week or anything more than a rough ETA ("July").

Shouldn't my MA be giving me more regular updates? What are other peoples' experience with this? Don't I have to confirm the final option selection prior to build? I've also seen the US folks refer to an "order sheet" that they can get from the miniusa.com website. I take it there is nothing comparable for us Canadians?

Ah well, enough whining. It's just that this long wait till I get my new vehicle is killing me!!
