Any recent experiences ordering from MINI Ottawa East? Did they provide production number or week?

When I ordered mine in March 2010 I was able to get the VIN and production info but did have to ask that they provide it. They happily did so & I was able to track my MINI from the Southampton docks across the pond to Halifax (using WV site). They then (again after my requesting it) were able to get me the train information with expected dates for drop in Montreal and subsequent truck delivery to Ottawa. In all I was very lucky as it was only a 4 week total delivery time. I've heard of some waiting 8 weeks. Many variables.

Am enviable of US neighbors who have the MINIUSA owners lounge. MINI Canada should do something similar.

I ordered from near Toronto and I had to wait several weeks for a production number. If they have the # they will likely give it to you. Check out the tracking skicky on NAM for tips on tracking. I was able to track it by calling BMW/MINI while it was being built (and obtain the VIN), and then later online via ship, train and finally truck again using the VIN and individual company websites. I had my car in about 5 weeks.
