market value
Hello all
Can anybody give me an idea as to the value of this series. Is it really a car worth jumping at? And at what price. there is one with 5000kms that i am looking into buying, it has the premium pack(sunrrof, hk...).
Thanks l..

I would say between $32 and 38k depending on if the car is stock and if it is at a dealership. 5000km is very low mileage.
Yes, I think the car is worth buying. We jumped at ours with 15000km in January 2008. The car was a Canada only edition and there are only 64 of them in the world. They have all the driving options; motorwork, suspension, brakes. Only thing they don't have is cruise control and a strut brace. Strut brace is really easy to add.
Check the tach to see what number it is in the series. Not that it matters what number but if it's there you know the car is legit. It should also come with a JCW factory certificate for the motor.
Of the 64, I believe only 2 didn't have the premium package.
If you buy the car, let us know and congratulations. If not, please let me know as I know someone who wants one.

Well in an effort to keep my Mini as JCW as possible I found another set of JCW factory wheels. They are the new 07> JCW R112 Challenge wheels, I also changed my stripes so I updated my OP pic, here's another couple:

Looks like the "other" Windsor, Ontario JCW CE is for sale... if I recall correctly it is #32 or something?

I'll stop into the dealer next time I'm in town and see what number it is. I met the owner once a couple of years ago when I first picked up #21... she had bought it new and enjoyed it and took it on a big US roadtrip... I guess aside from that roadtrip most driving was local because the odo now reads just under 50K.

Hmmm... no one has posted in this thread in a long time. Guess everyone is out driving.
Update on #21... I (somewhat reluctantly) sold it to another local MINI enthusiast (who owns a classic mini as well) and so it did go to a good home.
Hope everyone is keeping well!

JCW Competition Edition #43
Hello Everyone,
I'm not sure if this thread is still active, but I have just purchased CE #43 and would like to join in any threads that are actively discussing this group of Canadian cars. I live in Victoria B.C., and just recently purchased #43 from Montreal. I would not normally ship a car from there all the way to B.C., but this one had just 11,000 km on it and drives and even smells like a new car!
If anyone on this list has any information on the previous history of #43, I'd be very pleased to learn about it.
Bob

Thanks, goat. Nice to be active on this thread. And, yes, with 11,000 km (now nearly 12,000) on her she is just like a new car to me. I'm really enjoying driving her, and I'm sure she will be in the family for a long time. And, before I forget, she is Chili red with a white roof, which is my favourite colour combo. All the best.
