@jamez good news. I’ve found 64/64. It’s been slumbering in a parkade for the last 11 years, only motoring 8,000km in that whole time. It’s still in its home town of Calgary having been sold to her original owner by Crowfoot Mini in 2006. It changed hands to a second owner in 2010. Only ever summer driven, it’s travelled less than 44,000km and is still on original Pirelli Runflats, having been rotated several years back. I really don’t need this car but I felt like I needed to bring it home, fix a few age related service items and give her a nice 3 stage polish. Once there we’ll see if she’s won my heart. Lucky for us - she’s completely and utterly bone stock. I haven’t seen an R53 this clean and original since 2006. Both keys, all books in the folder and all her service history. No accidents / no stories - what a wonderful surprise to find this great R53 CE.

I saw the ad (we were all talking about it)
can you send me the VIN via PM for the registry please?

Yes I’d be happy to send it to you in a PM. Glad I could help close the loop on the upper numbers any info. you could send me to validate the specification of the car would be amazing.
also - where were we all chatting about it!? I’d love to join the conversation.
oh and yes - I bought it! I noticed it for sale within 2 hours of being listed last night. Sent a polite text and was invited to call the seller this morning. We had a great chat and he was kind enough to give me first refusal on the car as long as I came to see it this evening. Sounds like he had quite a lot of interest so I feel very lucky to have been right place, right time.

So am posting at the request of the owner of #13 , as I have recently purchased #29 to start my R53 journey. I have owned an F56 Justa since 2015, which I have played with to make not so Justa. But found #29 at a Nissan dealer in Hawkesbury, ON and once discerned what it truly was, bought it sight unseen. Flew to Montreal, dealer picked me up, signed papers and drove it back to Niagara Falls. LAST WEEK. This car is as tight or tighter than my lowered F56, drives like a dream and oh that Supercharger whine....
1. Edition #29
2. Colour CHILI RED
3. Location NIAGARA FALLS
4. Mods or any extra relative info. GOING TO KEEP OEM, as possible, maybe with a few minor upgrades like strut tower defenders.

Hi gang,
Im looking at a 2008 r52 competition edition that’s off market being offered to me as a private sale. Seems to be in good shape but had been winter driven, 100k km, spot of rust at the tail lights but can breath life into it. Can someone let me know what they think a fair price would be for the car?
Thanks!

I'm no expert but my best guess on the private sale value would be no more than $8000, especially since it was winter driven and has rust. Lots of stuff can go wrong with these cars now that they're getting old. It also depends on if preventive maintenance has been kept up. The retractable roof is also an extra wear part that can be expensive to fix.

I like your style. I would have figured the market is higher for a last year supercharged, fully optioned competition edition. At least from what I’ve seen on BAT or asking prices for lesser models.
$7-8k would make for a fun summer toy and I’d figure I’m in for $2k of work out the gate. Their ask is a fair bit higher so we will see what they think of a lowball offer. I imagine a dealer would care less about the cache and offer $5k so you may be very right.

You have to remember that cars sold on BAT are all in very good condition, have for the most part not seen snow and salt and are usually much lower in mileage. You'll also notice that almost all are hardtops.
Anyway, you decide how much the car is worth to you and only you can decide how much you want to pay.
Good luck with the transaction.

Thank you! Definitely not at the point of a transaction but appreciate the great info and agree with your points. I’m very comfortable negotiating, even more seeing as it’s a nice to have so I am also ok to walk away.
