My friend Shawn Carpenter at Smuckers stated that some people were getting together to rent the gingermanraceway for May 29th (Memorial Day Weekend)

Pretty much take the turnpike to 196 and take it north.

South Haven is located on the west side of Michigan.

If we get enough people, everyone is looking at $150.00 for the day. I can say it is filling up quickly.

You will need a safe car and a helmet. Convertibles are able to run on the track also. Will possibly take my Z3 if I get the rear suspension done in time (installing rear cam bolts in the trail arms to line it back up). There are no walls so if you lose if off the track, your pride will be smashed but not your car.

 

Gingerman is a fun track & I enjoyed it, but to say it is safe to run off track because there are no walls is not exactly correct. Last turn onto the pit straight has a wall looking at you. On the outside of turn 1 is a lot of nice grass that hides a sand berm. I know of one MINI that met its maker there. RIP MINI...
