Buh Bye Run Flats!!!

Just got new "normal" tires put on the Cab! What a friggin' difference!!! So much smoother & quiet ride. Recommend to anyone needing to replace the overly expensive and quickly worn run flats if they came with your Coop!

Hi,

Which tires did you replace your runflats with? I'm so confused by all the choices!

I replaced my run flats with Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 tires. Many refer to run flats as run craps -- for good reason. I love the Michelins.

Just did this yesterday too! I went with bfg g-force sports, what a world of difference in ride, sound and comfort!

I too just replaced my RunFlats. I used Nitto NeoGen's in 205-50-16 (v rated) from Discount Tire.

Shipped to me with their 3 year warranty (unlimited mile) just over $400.00. They seem to hold the road really well.

I like them for the fact that they also will protect the rim, as the edge of the tire is about 1/4 outside the stock rim's furthest point. I've not had any rubbing.

BTW, with regular rotation (and pushing the limit), I got 39K out of my first set...not knowing I could replace them, I got another set and took them for 31K miles.

This past weekend I swapped out the Dunlop Run flats for 215/45/ZR17 Nitto Neogens. What a huge difference. My JCW with the JCW suspension is now a normal daily driver for me.

I will keep the MINI and forget about getting a Buick for my next car.

Why doesn't Tire Rack carry Nitto NeoGens?

I'm not too familiar with this brand, but have heard good things on these threads. How do they compare with Michelin Exaltos and Pilots?
