Oh heck man your MINI won't melt. Take it out & play snowmobile with it. They are fun in the snow.

Throw some snow tires on your mini and have some fun! Also be thankful your Mini has a garage spot, my Mini has to stay outside

I can understand not wanting the tin worm to eat your classic. But modern MINI's have all kinds of high tech rust proofing. With proper care & desalting once a week a new MINI will laugh at winter. Parking a new MINI in the winter is a real wiener thing to do. Driving one is the hot dog thing to do.

Yep MINI's love to play in the snow....

As far as the dragon goes I love going down in the fall. No traffic & lots of empty roads to explore. The dragon is far from my favorite road down there.

So, how many Mini owners garage their car for the winter? Let me know. Mine is a "year rounder". We bought them to drive right? They are great in the snow even with stock all season tires.

Mine became a year-rounder after I found out how well it does on winter roads (w/ a proper set of winter tires/wheels).

Yeah, the rock chips on my aero side skirts and front bumper *really* irritate me - but I figure if I'm making a payment on this car, I *will* drive it. I'll probably get the car repainted in a few years at this rate.

They are quite a kick in the pants to drive in the winter. My Jeep only seems to be used when the snow is REALLY deep now.

This is Mini #4

and I've done the snow tire thing. However, I have a 4 wheel drive FJ Cruiser for the snow and want to keep the Mini away from the salt. I want it to last a long time. Rather use the miles when I can put the top down.

A MINI with 4 real snows will run circles around your FJ.

Now for a trip over Black Bear & Imogine pass that FJ is just the ticket.

As I recall, my Mini with snows

was good in the snow. However, it will not carry four kids one of which is 6'5"!

Well it can... it just won't be comfortable because one of them would have to be strapped to the roof. I recommend strapping the tall one to the roof as it will give the rear seat passengers more leg room.

I felt bad for the mini motoring advisor at Classic he was every bit of 6'5" and crawled in the back for the test ride

Don't garage it! Drive it!

I drive mine in the snow... when we get snow (which is rarely). It does better than my dad's 4WD Xterra. DSC is pretty sweeeeeeet.

Fold those kids up. Sure they'll fit.
