In Bathurst? What's it like taking a MINI round Mt Panorama? I used to work crowd control at the 1000 and the 12-hour when they had it there in the early 90s. I got to take one of my Minis on a couple of flat-out laps with about 300 other Minis in Oct 91. So much fun!

Anyway...welcome to NAM.

Thanks for the welcome ppl's.

It's way too much fun driving my MCS.

Glad I found this place. Does anyone here go on drives with other Mini owners? This is something I would love to do
 If not maybe we can organize something

Anyway, i'll post some pic's as soon as I can get myself out of the drivers seat.

Later

Yes, I understand there are a number of active MINI clubs in Aus. Don't know about the Bathurst area, but Sydney seems to be pretty active.

I'm not trying to send you away, but the Aus forum on here is usually pretty quiet. The Aus forum on MINI2 http://www.mini2.com/ sees a LOT more activity.

Agro.

Hey Aceman...!!

Welcome!

Do you know that about two weeks ago the East Coast Targa went through Bathurst? There were 5 mini's this year - the most numerous car:

www.eastcoasttarga.com.au:

Mini2 has a more active Aussie forum, and there's quite a few runs organised on there. Go to www.clubmini.com.au as well..... it was the first BMW recognised mini club in the world...they do a lot of stuff including driver training and discounts etc....

If you want to post in the Aussie section on mini2, you'll have to PM Paul Mullet, as new users can not post in there until they have 200 posts on the rest of the forum...(there were some issues a few months back with vagobonds who were booted and re-registered under different names - this was their solution....)....anyway..if you send a private message to Paul, he can set you up to post in there....

Welcome! Enjoy your new mini!!!!

(oh yeah....post some pics!!)

Aceman give out a call when you want to meet up, I know lots of MINI owners in NSW and ACT that would be up for a run to Bathurst.

Happy motoring, it's great to see another with the "MINI GRIN"

I love the second pic you posted there by the way....that's sweet...

I've still got all mine....but I only got on the web at home yesterday....so I'll throw them all up when I get home...

hahahah, I have already put in my expression of interest to run in next years Targa, Scotty will have first refusal on navigator, if he declines would you seriously be up for the job? It would take up one week of your annual leave and a few weekends doing the reccys.

As a matter of fact, my company has an up and coming spl competition on the 8th of October (V8 Race weekend). If anyone wants to meet up, I will be having a BBQ after the event. Maybe a short cruise could be in order.

Cheers

Geez gimmee a little time, ive only had it a week

Still reading what mods are the go. I like the sound of the 15% pulley reduction, air cleaner and exhaust.
Also I have to choose which wheels, 17 or 18".

BTW nice pic's. I did see them run through Bathurst, it was awesome
