WARNING: Disturbing Video

I was watching TV last night and came across this extremely disturbing, unjustified and abusive video of two helpless minis. I wondered if the jerks even knew their names. For Shame!

Watch at your own risk.

Just watched that show last night, on the Science Channel, (waaaaay up there on the channel list on my Time Warner digital cable). It's a show where these professional rocketeers are given challenges to strap rockets to things, and make them perform some kind of task.

In this episode, they were given "sports cars" (but never once said the name MINI). They were R50 MINI Coopers, which were promptly gutted by the two competing teams.

Their goal was to launch these MINIs off a 40-degree, 60-foot long ramp, though the uprights of a football goal 1000 feet away, and have a parachute deploy, landing it safely on the ground.

They strapped on two of the same engines used in Tommahawk missles, and they were plenty powerful enough!

Watch the vid.

My husband taped this for me when he was watching it the other night. It made me sick to my stomach to see the MINIs defiled. He assured me they were probably wrecked vehicles (didn't appear so), but still it made me angry to watch it. Poor MINIs.

They had to of chosen the MINI b/c of it's weight, not too light and not too heavy. Interesting concept, except I don't need rockets to fly.
