That's a great idea Linda! Might also be an ideal time to run videos for those not into the mixer aspect. I'm hoping that we can do a video preview of the sponsors products and let that run so attendees can see beforehand what the raffle items are. I don't think everyone knew what a g100a was from Meguiars!

Well, I had a GREAT time. I was in a Courtyard room, but it wasn't too bad. Try the Motel 6 in South Salinas sometime. I just wish the room had a mini-fridge.
I had no issuses with any of the activities, well OK, the walk in the rain back to the car after the kick-off dinner was a little annoying. But. I think the entire event was very well put together. I will be back next year, for sure.
Thanks to all at Sin City MINI Club and c3!!!!

Not Complaining

Hey I just wanted to say that I had the Greatest time, and I didn't mean to sound ungreatful I know everyone put out quite an effort to organize this for us and I really did enjoy myself, I realize now after reading several threads about Vegas I missed an awful lot, maybe because I didn't know a soul. I did meet some really nice people but mostly I hung out alone, felt a little left out of things. Went on all the runs and the dinner, next time I'm bringing a buddy, and yes I said next time, I'll be there even if I have to go by myself, wouldn't miss it. Thanks again

Dominic, your parking lot pictures are awesome! (Never ever ever did I dream that I would one day get excited by a picture of a parking lot full of cars ) Hope you don't mind--the 3rd one is now my wallpaper at work.

BTW, how dangerous can someone wearing a "HI! My name is ______  " tag be??? Maybe the federales cut you some slack because you were considerate enough to wear a name tag for them.

In case you haven't seen this, here is a video clip shot by me with my VacuCam on the Hoover Dam run. Two more clips are being edited. This one is 12 minutes 32 seconds and compressed in Windows Media (50MB) and QT(70MB).

Ok. It seems that the consensus is that the Courtyard rooms pretty much sucked, but the Tower rooms were fine. I guess that's part of the 45% price difference. I have no problem with people telling me stuff like that, because I didn't know.
Next year, we may or may not be returning to Palace. They treated us pretty well for the most part, I thought, though there were a few mixups.
With what we learned this year, and the expectation of expanded numbers next year, we may be able to get a better deal somewhere else. I personally wouldn't be opposed to having it at a different location every year, if only to show the attendees different parts of fabulous Las Vegas. We kind of left things later than we might have this time, and won't make that mistake next time. I think that some of the hotels might have thought that NASCAR was the same weekend, not the next weekend, and so not given us the best quote they could have.
This week I want to get the attendees survey up on the website, so I can accumulate all the comments, suggestions and complaints into 1 place. I'll post when it's ready.

But no-one ever gets ME mixed up with anyone else. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

no need to apologize, even Dominic got a laugh out of it. I mean if you compare statistics
1. they both own minis light in color.
2. They have both put on AMVIV
3. they're both blond
4. they both have square shaped glasses (Domonics square ones not shown)
5. they're names are quite similar
It kind of makes you wonder if it's some sort of AMVIV conspiracy? Hmmmmm? It's out of this world.
ps
please don't get mad at me domonic and donoven :P all in good fun

No no, Domonic is on the right waiving, that's his humanform hologram android thingy in the middle that he sent here to hang out on earth collecting info for his home planet Minitopia to search for the best ways to have fun in Minis in outer space.

Sorry about the bad pic of your android Dom, it's the only one I had. Guess the fact that you're packing a snowball doesn't really go with the desert scene huh?

PS
I vote yes on the coctail hour meet-n-greet before dinner next time...maybe we could even have a Mini prom where we vote for peoples Minis to be king and queen and the prize could be crowning them with a clear bra or regular one.

Emis:

Thank you for the illustrated explanation. I now understand why I was confused.

It was one of those alien mind meld things .

I feel much better now.
