For those heading to AMVIV, be prepared for a shock when you hit the High Mojave Desert. Just returned from a 1700mi trip through that area and am still shaking my head in disbelief. It's like Ireland with cactus if you can imagine such a thing! Haven't seen it that GREEN since the late '70's. This may be the only time you'll ever hear me say to slow down and enjoy the show. And it's just getting started!!

 

Hate to say it, but that means the butterflies will be out in force this year. Be prepared to scrape a lot of bug goo off of your car when you get to Vegas

 

OMG, you're right. Forgot that those flying grease ball Painted Lady Butterflies might be migrating. This could be grim!

 

I live up here in the desert so I see it every year .

 

that area got a lot of rain about a month ago, traveled in the rain from vegas to LA. i wished vegas got green.
