FS - Webb Camber Plates (Ver 2)
FS - Webb Camber Plates (Ver 2)
I recently installed new springs on my PSS9's, and since I was provided the new H-Sport camber plates quite a few months ago, I decided to finally intall those. Which means that I now have the Webb camber plates available...
Information from Mr. Webb about these:
"These are the end all in camber plates. The units are easily adjustable and give the largest range available of the plates I have tested to date (which includes basically everything on the market). They allow for known settings to be marked on the existing indexes for quick camber changes (like at the track). The units come with stock marked as a slightly taller index, with .5 degree range marks from +.5 to -3.0. We used a teflon lined Aurora monoball to avoid bearing failure issues, and mount it in a stainless steel carrier, which makes this unit the strongest on the market. The top piece is anodized aluminum, complete with lightening holes to reduce as much weight as possible. These units are mounted under the strut top in the chassis, making the chassis the load bearing piece rather than a few bolts. They are also VERY competitively priced. Any strut brace that works with the stock set up works with the Webb Motorsports camber plates, as will any spring perch or coilover rebound adjustment."
I had to go through some emails and PM's, but I got these plates on July 21, 2005. They are the more desirable 2nd version. As per Sol of PerfectPower, the manufacturer:
"The stainless was heat treated after machining, instead of before (as on v1). The stud was a request to make installation easier. The thickness changes were to accommodate requests for lower ride height with non-adjustable ride height cars."
As some know, I drive my MINI once a week, and sometiimes less when on jack stands for various projects. At about 65 miles a week, that's about 3,100 miles a year. Not quite two years, so I'd say quite comfortably that these have a little less than 6,000 miles on them...
I also have the install manual as well that I will gladly include.
I've seen where these have sold for 250-300 bucks in the past. Let's do the low end of the range. $250, plus shipping?
I'm not in a positon at the moment to provide a photo, but I'll gladly do so later, if requested. Thanks.

if only u sold these 2 weeks ago.... my V1 webb plates just went back on after one stud broke off... i had to go to my mechanic to get it all back on... (i really don't know what he did, but its holding, just that every big pothole gets transferred into the unibody... im assuming that its a bad thing in the long run.... )
here's a free bump for ya.... its been nothing but repairs for me so no extra parts!

Welcome to NAM P&V. Technically, I still have them, but it appears that they would be sold already as I got a bid on eBay ($9.99) yesterday... I don't think it's appropriate to provide a link to the auction here on NAM, but it's easily found though...
