WTB MCS Coolant Tank

Looking for either a used Forge tank or a new OEM tank for an "S" model. I've seen them on line but I thought I'd give the marketpalce some business.

PM's or post what you got.

Thanks

The OEMs are prone to leaking.

Livermore performance has the Canton alum tanks.
These use a real cap !

Good price as well

Yup that they are (prone to leaking) this is my second, although it is the first of the new style and has been on the car about 3 years.

I looked at the Canton, but the look wasn't quite right for me. Is that a picture of yours? If so how's it holding up? What's your impression of build quality, etc? Is that a 3rd hose connection at the cap? Where are you running that line? BTW, cheapest I've seen them on line is $129, I'll check Livermore performance........thanks!

Edit: Wow......Great price!

The canton is a work of art.

The other advantage is that you now have a pressure cap (30 lb)
So the system works as if closed, but if you did overheat the pressure would have somewere to go (out the cap hose)

I routed the overflow line to right above the header. If you do overheat the water will come out the hose and steam BIG TIME, another way to catch an issue. (old motorcycle trick of mine)

Dont forget you need a 30 lb radiator cap...
If you didn't order it they can be a bit difficult to find at you local parts store.
Most performance parts stores have them, Summit
Moroso part # 63328

You know, I saw that but when I was researching in the Bentley book yesterday I could have sworn I saw that the pressure of the system was only 18 psi. I don't have my book with me, but I'll be able to check later tonight.
