WTB: JCW Pulley

I'm looking for a JCW pulley. If anyone has one they want to sell or knows where I can get one, please drop me a line. Thanks!

Are you looking to have it installed? Hope not cause it is a pressure fit pulley, not like the aftermarket ones.

It needs to be pressed on, AND lined up with the other pulleys.

you have to put it on with a press.

easiest way to do it would be to remove the s/c itself and put it on the press....probably would be the safest way too..

Just a curious question.

Maybe because of the whole warranty thing. If you want an easy installation, go with the Alta or the M7 Pulley. Those are the....well other kind of fit. I dont know the technical term.

I think that you would need to remove the s/c and than remove the shaft
from the s/c ; than heat the pulley and press it onto the shaft.
If you press the pulley onto the shaft without removing the shaft,
you could damage the bearings.

The end of the SC shaft is threaded internally, so you can press it on with the appropriate install tool. The hard part is lining it up with the other pulleys.

That's why I was asking, because JCW parts only carry the warranty if they are installed by a dealer, especially the engine parts & if you can't get the warranty then why would you opt for a pulley like that, something less than 15%.

Well, if thats the case, then there has to be someone with a JCW MCS that did a pulley swap.

Good luck!

Thanks for the input guys. I want a JCW pulley because it will be easier to get warranty coverage with it, especially if I let the dealer install it. No guarantees, but they're less likely to deny coverage with an OEM part. The dealer has some discretion in these matters.

If anyone has a JCW supercharger, I'd take that too. Seems like they're pretty rare used but I'll keep looking...

Wil,
You know how this is done!
To install the JCW pulley: The S/C shaft is treaded with an 8mm. hole. ( There is a small cover in the end of the shaft, use a small screw driver to get it started, unscrew it from the shaft. ) Get an aprox. 70mm. long harden bolt cut the head off. Now install the bolt in the shaft. ( Use Anti-seize on the treads and install it in all the way. ) Heat the JCW pulley. W/ a large & strong washer and nut. Place the pulley at the end of the shaft. Use an air wrench to install/press the JCW pulley on. ( You need to be quick. ) When the washer is flush w/ the end of the shaft the pulley is in place! ( Look at your stock or JCW pulley to see for yourself. ) This is the way the 1st pulleys where installed. Ask an old timer. This is the EZ part of the pulley install.
