We had a good time also . This morning when I started the mini, the "check engine light" was on, it just had a service on the 15th of this month, I sure hate the thought of the 190mile one way trip to find out what's wrong , hopefully it's nothing

 

Bummer bzn by. UGH, I hate the drive to Atlanta. If you have to go back over there & you want to try a new, less stressful route. I worked out a way that might be doable for you from your starting point. It runs backroads thru Talladega & you don't hit I-20 till Oxford. My route almost feels like you are just out motoring instead of plodding along the horrible I-20 & it only adds MBE 15 minutes of driving time. Let me know if you wanna give it a try & I will email you my map

It was their pleasure . That was funny, all I heard was "go straight", I should have know he was referring to the jeep but I started flashing my lights and tooting the horn, I thought we had a last minute change of plans .
Looking forward to our next drive or hopefully soon a drive-in night, that was a lot of fun also.

Hey Bzn, go to someone locally here like Stephen's garage to let him check the error code from the OBC. He may be able to reset it and save you a trip, or at least tell you what type of problem you have. It may be something minor that can be treated locally and with the cost of gasoline you may come out ahead, plus your time there and back. Just a thought.

The shot of the drive-thru doesn't show it very well, but all the Sneaky Pete's folks were hanging out the window, snapping MINI pics with cell phones.

I think that may be what I try to do. I have had a call in for over 24hours now to my SA and he has yet to return my call , that is my only complaint about MoN. The car is hesitating when I first turn it over, it ran fine Sunday and yesterday when I turned it over it hesitated and then the "check engine" light was on . Roach suggested trying to start it 3 times in a row, he heard that resets it sometimes, but the light is still on. I didn't drive it today, I don't know if it's bad for it or not, what do you all think?

 

I tried to upload mine last night but my computer was being a pain in the butt so I will try again this afternoon, I have a couple that you might want to add

 

Bzn By, if you haven't already, get your MINI to Stephen's and have him check the fault codes. Then you can decide if a trip to Nashville is necessary. It may cost you a few $ for the scan, but it might tell you if a road trip to MoN would be unsafe. Does the car run ok once it starts?

 

Went and saw Stephen yesterday, it was a "nothing" kind of code, he reset it for me and saved me a trip to MoN , what a nice guy, I will definitely take my mini to him for unscheduled oil changes and anything else that we don't have to involve the dealer with, plus he owns a mini so that gives me extra confidence in him

 

Excellent! But is it still cranky when you start it? Maybe its battery is getting a little weak?

Thanks for including The Clown Car in your album. We classic ("Wee Classic"?) owners are sensitive to being left out... and sometimes left behind!

 

Oh I love the Classic Mini and the Classic Beetle. Very few cars are worthy of being reborn as they have. They may be safer and faster but would not be here without the origional. Kinda like Star Trek, too. He's beautiful BTW, thanx for bringing him.
