Wine sampling at MOTD 2009
Wino
I will be there
I do not know what I will bring. way to early for that. I enjoy going to vinyards in Virginia. Maybe I will bring some Virginia wine. Maybe I will bring some Chianti. That always holds up well when the point isn't to complement food, but to drink a lot.

In my never ending quest for all things MINI, I stumbled upon a winery called COOPER Vinyards. So, I started thinking we need get these folks involved in out little Wine Tasting Event. So after several emails over the last month or so, Jacque Hogge one of the co-owners has agreed to sent us a case of wine for FREE for out event!!!! I'll post up the actual selection once in hand. There is a outside chance that one bottle might "accidentially" get opened before the event

Great Work Barry! It could also have a Dragon holding a glass of wine instead of ice cream (comparing it to the Ice Cream Run shirt).

Need your thoughts. I'm going to order the event name Wine Glasses for the event and want to know if I should get Red or White Glasses. Due to the MIN Order of each getting both is not going to be possible this year.
Red or White (shape) Glasses?

This is a White Wine Glass shape,

This is a Red Wine Glass shape,

I know drinking Red Wine in a White Wine glass loses some of the Red Wine experience. I don't think drinking White Wine in a Red shape glass will have any downside to the white wine in question. Sounds like I should get the Red Wine Shaped Glasses. ???????????????

Howdy folks,
count me in... don't drink much and hubby (who may not be coming) usually buys the wines (he's into high rated wines under $12... and he's found a few decent ones in a box)- we're both into reds.
Since I couldn't figure out a decent wine (would more likely buy a wine based on cool labels, being that I'm a tad visual, LOL), how bout if I whup up some hors d'oeuvres? If, closer to the time, I could have a head count, I could bring some nummies... cheese (I usually do the VT Very Sharp White Cheddar, but I'm sure I could find a good NY, maybe some havarti and a brie?), and maybe some other things. I can get crackers- bremner wafers & carrs table water I'm assuming are good palate cleansers?
Would that get me passage into this? Otherwise I would have to come up with a red of some sort with a seriously cool label, LOL! Only prob is might be horrible wine (of course, I could also go to the local winery and get the Grinder's Switch Red- which comes with a bag of mixer for wine shooters... sounds like it's REALLY good stuff, LOL)
