Well then that gives them a whole year to build an additional lodge or more cabins.
Hey that just gave me an idea, they can sponsor a weekend where we volunteer some time to build a "Habitat for Dragon Slayers"
and we would get to stay there for free during the next MOTD event.

well I just booked a Willow...hope that was the right choice as I've never seen any of their rooms or cabins! I wanted to get a lodge room but all they had was smoking rooms for a king bed....but come to think of it now, they don't have king beds in the Willows, do they?

Hrmm...what do you guys suggest - a room in the lodge or a cabin? How are they about changing/canceling reservations if necessary?

Willows are great for a couple. They are like a trailer. I think they are some of the newest there.

Booked

Still on the waiting list @ #6 for this year, but finally have a room for next year!!!! One less thing to worry about, and it has only taken me two years to get a room.

I have a two bedroom, azealea style cabin in the Fontana village. The cost for it is $550 from Thursday, May 1 to Sunday, May 4. I put down a $167.20 deposit that is non-refundable. I am not able to go this year because my daughter is expecting in that immediate time frame.
Anyone wishing to go, and stay in the village need only contact me at ccalohan@yahoo.com and make the necessary arrangements to cover the deposit and assume the rental contract, and it is yours. Breaks my heart as I had a most bodaciously good time last year

FOUND A TAKER...Congrats to Minimobile!

I have a reservation at the Fontana Hotel for next year if anyone wants it. The wife wants to bring our dog next year so we are looking elsewhere to stay. If anyone wants to take over our reservation please PM me so I can set it up with Fontana. Thanks!

Dudes, my wife and I are in for 2009, booked the room tonight. Funny thing is...our Hardtop JCDub doesn't get to us until July. That's how fired up we are! Look forward to meeting everyone!

Well Mr & Mrs Jackson I would like to be one of the first to welcome you to NAM and to answer any questions you may have about MOTD.
I feel I must warn you that once you have seen the Dragon you'll want to come back again and again.

I thought Fontana allowed pets in the Cabins?
Why would you look else where? Did we snore too loud or fart too much?
I promise I won't let my daughter eat any more beans if you'll hang with us at Fontana....

I checked and the only cabins they have available are 3br ones. I strongly dislike sharing cabins as I am an early riser at times and like to bumble around. Maybe if something comes up I will take over someones reservation. I think next year we will bring Nicole's R56.

I just called fontana they are already booked for next year but we got on the waiting list. Mike at fontana also said there is no truth to them building 500 more rooms. But they are building a new swimming pool guess we could camp out by the pool. Oh well I know we will get a room or cabin. I just don't want to have to drive so far next year. We were staying in Robbinsville just because we didn't know the area or where to stay so we pretty much took what we could find.

Did you get a chance to go up there this year?

We need all the cabrios we can bring together for my "Topless Drive" next year (weather permitting of course).
