Drive-In Movie...

If any club would like information on holding this event like the Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club has done for the last 2 years, please contact me. I'm sorry to say we will not be hosting this event next year. I'll will be more than happy to provide any group the details and experience I have on making this event great like it has for the past 2 years.

One thing we may need to keep in mind relative to the Drive-in location....

Because of the size of the event we're trying to determine if it will be possible to put up a VERY large tent on the ball field in order to have a location where everyone could gather for meals and evening events. If this can be accomodated we'll need to locate an alternative location for the Drive-In since it also needs a lot of space.

I hope to have more information in the next couple of weeks.

What did it cost to put that portion of the event on? Could it be held in the same field at the bottom of the damn where the group photo was taken?

Mark (Twister) can address the cost. As far as location the base at Fontana Dam is out. We have enough red tape to go through to get access for an hour for pictures. That said, there might be another option near the old location where we can run an outdoor movie though there may not be room for making it a drive-in. I'm still talking to Fontana about the whole giant tent idea and should have it finalized in another week.

Cost for screen and equipment is $1500., Movie rental is $100-250
Getting sponsors to help is a daunting task!

I'd like to thank all of them in the past 2 years for helping out!
