Could not find a thread about this anywhere on NAM. So, if you go to the home page and look at the statistics we have not beat the # of users online in a year. The record still holds at 1747 on 4-24-06. With all the new members you would have thought we could have that beat by now.
I posted this in the Dragon forum to try to get as many people as possible to be on Friday night. Before some of us from out West start on our trip to the East. Who is up for breaking a record? Who is up for finding me a life? I will just be around the house packing the trailer and the MINI so I have nothing better to do. Join me

 

Actually with the server loading of late it would be better if we wait to try this toward the end of May. After MOTD I'll be working on moving the site to a new super fast server

 

Mark, is the server loading what has been making NAM so slow in the wee early hours?

 

Not in the morning. There is not enough people on the site to slow it down. There is something going on in the network to/from the data center. As for the upgrade I need to do that as I've seen CPU load running pretty high when people are on the site during the day.

It appears that there are a couple of issues and one of them will require the server upgrade. Besides we've been on the same server for about four years so I think its time for an upgrade.

Mark, after I posted that I had second thoughts due to just that possibility. Feel free to remove this thread to avoid a possible problem. I would hate to see NAM down the night before I leave for the Dragon.
