Should we warn these poor people?? *see link*

InTTruder, great screen name
Welcome to NAM! I was the thread starter, and believe me, I really did feel concern for you guys. Not safety wise, just didn't want you guys doing all the work and driving and showing up and wishing you had picked another weekend. (Kind of like the time I took my daughter to World of Coke, and found out after we'd just gone in that there were about 15 tour buses of high school kids from the mid-west there, while they were all polite and charming, they were EVERYWHERE making for a very claustrophobic experience).
Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing you guys there, my hubby and I have always loved Audis, he drove one for 10+ years, and hope to get another one day. We saw one on MotorWeek a couple of weeks back that we were fighting about who gets to try it first!
Like others have said, you most likely won't get a wave by from a MINI, but they will pull off at the first opportunity and let you by if the need arises.
I think if you come up to Fontana Village at some point you will find a bunch of fellow enthusiasts who would love to greet and meet y'all.
Regardless, expect a wave from me and El Kabong!

inTTruder, good that you came over to the NAM thread. I appreciate your emails to me and your attitude. You guys will have more fun at The Dragon especially since we MINI folk will be there. Looking forward to meeting you and your group. Like the others have said, stop by and say hey or wave if you are on a run while we are there. Gas up before you come because gas on the Dragon is very limited.

Fontana is a nice self-contained place. We stayed there last year. But you won't feed 500+ there! I see a lot of foraging (Sherman mrches to the sea) going on!
My apologies to the feisty miss.
We can share stickers (I'm having some made) perhaps, sort of liek trading at the jamboree?
I suspect little passing or pulling over will occur or be necessary. For those who haven't driven a Mini, I know just how well they can embarass an M3! We Audis will be polite and respectful, seriously. And thanks for the warm welcome, and the heartfelt concern that we all have a good time.
I'll be in and out. I really do covet a Mini as my DD (Wife has a C230 SS-K, and the 855 Turbo has been on the Dragon twice) BTW! At my age (54) motorsports mean freedom and new friends.

We look forward to seeing your cool Audis at our 5th annual gathering of the MINI clan. Check out our Event Calendar as MOTD evolves to see how we plan our big meet.

Another club that will be attending that weekend is the Honda VFR group ride. See thread here VFRdiscussions.com Most of them are staying in Robbinsville. (Microtel) I have informed them already. So they should not be surprised when they see Coopers everywhere.
I just wish I could do both MINI and VFR but The Dragon Wagon has to make the trip. So the VFR stays in Nebraska.

Translation: If you're planning on trying for that nine-minute record, you're gonna be passing a lot of dudes holding hands and sipping lattes together.

I'm sure that several 'non-enthusiast' drivers (non sequitor) will be on The Dragon. WE have a duty to drive safe. The 9m record will most likely stand until the Stig brings an Ariel Atom to the mountain.

4-wheel is NOT the same as Quattro! Quattro rules!
BTW-
I used to command the AL-ARNG Infantry Company (B/1-167) in Pelham. Small world. Lived up in Hoover, out on the ridge. Driving a mini or TT in that area can be fun.
My soon still lives off 119. 20-something! Too bad he's not a gear-head!

I've been shot at and hit, and.......
Tequila was restorative.
We're trying to get our head count sorted out. I'm certain we won't be 500 strong. Per Jaysen and Paul, your group pic is at 0900. We're staggering in around 1130, so that should clear us.
Looking forward to seeing all the hardware! May have to come cruise the Vendors!
