Welcome to the group, StJamesG8. Don't worry about the friendly part, we learn to wave first and ask questions later. You won't not know anybody for long.

Thanks for the info about Blue Waters. We just called them and managed to get the last room they had available for MOTD! Now I can quick panicking about having a place to stay, and start panicking about having my MINI ready in time

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Has anyone stayed at Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort? I know they're right at the top of the dragon?

The problem is that they are a motorcycle resort and want to reserve their space for motorcyclists.

Speaking of Deals Gap and MOTD rookies. Please don't use Deals Gap to fill up your tank. The MINIs would drain them dry in a heartbeat and that would be the start of the war between the Bikes and the MINIs.

Hadn't thought of that! Last time I was there was ON my bike. I suppose we should try to keep the peace. We may be bigger, but not by much!

So, from what I'm gathering, Deals Gap isn't the best place to stay for MOTD? They're a little reluctant to fill up with MINIs? I suppose that's understandable.

I'm picking up my new MINI from International Tomorrow! We did Dragon '04 when we had our first MINI, and it has been one of the things I've missed the most since getting rid of it.

We are really late in the game as well as far as accomodations go. But, if we can convince a set of grandparents to watch the kids, we may take a shot at camping this year....I assume that there are shower facilities available?

I've never heard of there being any problem with sports car enthusiasts staying at the Crossroads of Time & I've been riding my bike in the area for a few years now. I'm sure they just want to fill the rooms & campground. In fact, I've got it on good authority (the owner of the Crossroads of Time complex) that he loves MINIs. I had a conversation with him a couple years ago regarding motorcycles & sports cars on the Dragon (before I had my MINI) and he was talking about how awesome the MINI owners are when they come down. He was even commenting on Mr. Bean's MINI & the new graphics on it each year. That reminds me that he also said he had a BMW Z4 and he wanted to get rid of it & get a MINI! Now I need to find out if the owner actually got a MINI. FYI, if you go to buy a Dragon sticker at the store there, you will notice that there is only one that is brand specific. It's not Honda, Kawasaki, Ducati, etc.

With those cool stickers, be careful when you are washing your windows, they are delicate. We killed ours....

You put the chrome ones on and they look subtle! Like dark anthracite!
