I am a rookie when it comes to wheels. this is the first car that I have wanted to upgrade the wheels and tires... so forgive me for being a rookie.

I am looking at some rims with the specs of 17x8 offset of 47 with a bolt pattern 5 lug 120mm.

I have an 04 MCS. Do you think that these will fit?

also lookingat 18x 8.5 off set 47, 5 lug 12mm....

Any thoughts?

its actually much easier to find wheels in that bolt pattern because its so common.

there are so many wheels to choose from. you will go crazy when picking

Skoobeedu,

I would suggest just reading through posts on the "Tires, Wheels, & Brakes Forum." There is SO MUCH information out there, and alot of it, at least the basic stuff that you will need to know, such as wheel OFFSET and such has been covered in depth. And I am in no way busting on you! I myself have learned an incredible amount just by reading through here. If you have any specific questions after reading through a bit, use the [Search] function in the upper right of the screen. It's great.
THese guys talk about all kinds of things such as which tires to use for what conditions, the pros and cons of Run-Flats, wheel diameter, width, tire rubbing, all the things you need to know before buying a new set of rims. Check out the Tire Rack web site, too; they have listed a bunch of wheels that will fit, along with which tires they reccommend. And are you going to lower your car? Read on!

Hanve fun, and happy motoring!

The advatge is that they will run for 1 hour @ 55 mph with no air. THis allow you to make it somewhere you could hanle the issue. They are OE on your mini, because you lack a spare tire. Most folks have given them up in the name of performance or comfort. seach the cite using non rf tires - you'll see a few posts!
