In addition to the smokes, what beverages are all y'all planning to bring? I will bring a variety of tasties....probably port, wine, and some very good tequila. What do others like to sip as they smoke cigars?

It depends on the mood that I am in at the time. Mostly beer though because I can't do hard stuff anymore.

For me...not a thing. I usually just prefer to sit and smoke. At best, sometimes I'll have some coffee, but that's about it.

Most beverages just mask my good smoke. If anything, agua. I don't want to miss out

All you cigar smokers...

PLEASE consider purchasing our Special Edition MOTD Cigar Salon T-shirt. Sizes run from adult S-XXXL. The shirts are from Gildan and are dark green, with a red cigar-smoking MINI on the back, along with pertinent Cigar Salon at the MOTD info. The front of the shirt has a pocket with our own "cigar band" design and logo. All our proceeds go to benefit the United Cerebral Palsy Fund, the Cigar Salon's charity of choice at this year's MOTD. Additional pricing info can be found on the MOTD Cigar Salon "Events" page.

The Cigar Sampling Shirts arrived yesterday! All y'all are going to love them! The pocket makes them unique...and the graphic on the pocket looks like a cigar label...really came out great! The color is a very deep green...looks like the older and more faded it gets, the more it will resemble a cigar!

We worked feverishly through the night and day and night sorting and packing. The shirts will be shipped USPS Priority Mail (2-3 day delivery) tomorrow afternoon! Watch for them!

I'd like to THANK all who participated in the Cigar Salon at the Dragon Thursday evening, after the Welcome Dinner! For a social event, we never left the porch until well after midnight. It was GRRRREAT to see old friends and to meet many new ones, too. Hope you all got back home safely and are enjoying your pocket tees, and are enjoying new cigar adventures!

WMWNY, aka Jeff

Had a blast Jeff & it was great to finally meet you. Also, I can't thank you and MINIClo for being soooooo generous with the cigars and other treats. Fabulous event that I hope to attend next year.

Glad you enjoyed yourself, the cigars, and talking with the other great people there! Can't wait for next year's MOTD and Cigar Salon!

If anyone is interested, MINIClo said we still have a few t-shirts left...all proceeds going to benefit United Cerebral Palsy.

Thanks WMWNY! I dropped by for a little while, didn't actually have a smoke there, but was happy to discover that you left a very nice cigar in my cabin as I was packing up. It will be enjoyed soon!

And thanks to everyone who ordered shirts or made a donation to United Cerebral Palsy. We hope to soon announce how much money we raised from the Cigar Salon and Midnight on the Dragon.

I don't know if I gave you a Quintero or a Jose L. Piedra. If it was the latter...it's a lot stronger than the Quintero [which is a mild to medium]. The Quintero looks to be the cigar I'll bring back next year, as I took a full box and did not return home with any at all. I still have a few 5-packs left of the Jose L. Piedras...of course, when Prof. Dave finds out, perhaps THAT will change, as well.

Again, CONGRATS to you both! It WAS fun, wasn't it? Even the rain during the Welcome Dinner cooperated and left the area for us to really enjoy a fine evening.

Looks like I have the JL Piedra. I'll report back with my findings once I get a chance to relax and enjoy it out on the hammock.

Just do NOT stand up too quickly after smoking it. Sometimes the ground can come up all too fast if you are not used to a full-flavored cigar.

I knew I would miss this event this year and purposely stayed away from reading the thread. Good thing b/c it would've tore me up and miss it even more than I already did. Hated not herfin' with my fellow leaf lovers. I will be there next year. Oh, BTW, new drink preference with a stick?....coffee! Try it and you'll be very surprised.

I LOVE coffee with a good stick! Personally, I wouldn't have it any other way. NEXT YEAR, we'll just have to arrange for one of those big Thermos pump dispensers.

We have TWO [2] MOTD '07 pocket Cigar Salon t-shirts left. One size is Medium, and the other size is XL.

Please PM me if you are interested and I'll send you the address to contact.

ALL our proceeds go to benefit United Cerebral Palsy.

Thanks!
