I have a 2025 JCW with a rattling noise coming from the passenger window. Anyone else have this problem and a fix?

 

Might try the following....

1. Window Glass Not Fully Seated in the Channel
MINI frameless doors rely on the glass pressing tightly into the upper seal. If the glass is even slightly misaligned:
• You’ll hear rattling over bumps or rough pavement
• Noise often disappears when you press outward on the glass with your hand
Quick test:
Open the door, roll the window down halfway, then up again. Listen for a “double click” at the top—if it doesn’t seat firmly, alignment is off.

2. Loose Door Panel Clips
MINI door cards use plastic push‑clips that loosen over time.
Symptoms:
• Rattle disappears when you press on the door panel
• Noise changes with temperature
This is one of the most common MINI rattles.

3. Loose Window Regulator or Guide Rail
Inside the door, the regulator assembly can loosen slightly.
Symptoms:
• Rattle only when the window is up
• Sounds like something tapping inside the door
This requires removing the door card but is fixable with simple tightening.

4. Upper Weatherstrip / Beltline Trim Vibration
The rubber trim at the top of the door can vibrate against the glass.
Symptoms:
• Buzzing or rattling at certain speeds
• Goes away when you slightly crack the window
A silicone‑based rubber conditioner often fixes this.
