I think you may be incorrect on that one. All the ones I saw that he had over the line were of a pepper white not the m7 car. Good way to tell (other than the m7 car is so much brighter white) is that the headlight trim is painted body color and not chrome....

You guys need to calm down, the times you should be worried about people going over the line is when they are entering the blind corners. There are lots of times where as you exit some corners you could see that there is noone coming for the next three corners so you could creep over a little bit to set up the next entry.

But if its at the blind part of the corner then yeah, you better be on your side of the line.

This car?

http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/...um=0&adjust=-1

That is very much not the M7 car.

I would look for more but the pics aren't available at this second.

And I somewhat agree with what is above. People are freaking out about line crossing when they have no idea how far the person can see in front of them. I, of course, think the double yellow should never be crossed but not everyone is a perfect driver. Some people drive the Dragon for the first time and don't get the hang of it immediately. And I know from driving it quite a few times that there are places where you can clearly see anything coming at you for a good bit. But other people not being perfect drivers is why you have to not only be aware of yourself but of others. On my Sunday run, there was at least one truck that was far over the line, some people just do not know how to drive and don't get it. (though I did notice on the other thread that someone just mentioned passing over a double yellow in a turn and damn.... that is WRONG and there is no excuse for that)

Alright, let's keep this the "pics, pics and more pics of MOTD" thread and not the "witch hunt" thread.

Ok, now thats a really bad place to be crossing the double line.... I don't remember any of the Killboy photo corners being able to see the exit that early. At that point your just asking for trouble. Its scary how a car will pop out next to you out of nowhere....

FYI -- here are the technical details on my homebrew Panoramic picture:
  • Camera: Canon 20D, shooting RAW
  • Lens: Canon EFS 10-22 mm @ 17mm
  • RAW Conversion to JPEG: RawShooter Pro, 13 frames processed identically
  • JPEG - Panoramic stitching: Panorama Factory running in automatic mode.
Obviously, I was at ground level, and I was directly below the location of the "official" camera. Camera was hand-held, without tripod (which is probably the reason for the "hump" in the center.

I'm showing my youth here...

But push starts still work? I thought that was just something hippies did with 70's & 80's vehicles...

I guess so!

Hippies???

See page 137 of your manual

Of course, you dont need a tow truck, just a bunch of strong friends!

If the battery is dead though, you better drive straight to the MINI dealer!

Push starts pretty much work on all manual cars if only the battery is run down. Be sure the ignition is on, put it in second gear, step on the clutch, let friends or strangers push you, pop the clutch and off you go.

Simple as that.

But I guess it helps that I look like a hippie .
