We had rain all weekend here...and now it looks like most of this week. So much for giving Foxy a bath before the drive.

The National Weather Service's forecast doesn't look good...

Hope the panoramic photo doesn't get rained out...

I sure hope this High pressure zone off the east coast moves on so this next one can move through faster. I need fri and sat to be rain free

Don't worry, I can still show you the right way to do it rain or shine. I'm supposed to have a tent out there, so potentially we could work even if it rains. Having a freshly detailed car get rained on isn't really a bad thing. The water will sheet off, and will be much easier to clean, dry. And best of all the swirls will be gone. As long as you take my advice on how to wash/dry it when you get home.

Unless it's really pouring rain, it's probably ok. Heh heh, we can always work by hand.

Considering that I've got plane tickets, a rental car, and all kinds of materials being shipped, it'd be a real downer to cancel anything!!! But sadly, it looks like I may have to improvise.

Can't miss with that forecast, it's got all the chances covered

Kool said it right, if you don't like the weather were you are, drive around the next curve or over the next hill. Chances are it'll be better there.

For the record - today was fantastic. Little to no fog in the AM and clear and unrestricted vis all afternoon.

P.S. WxSquid - you work at Chamber's??

Looks like Saturday & Sunday are going to be downright cold! Remember, you're in the South now and that is cold.

Cold - Less than 70
Cool - 70 - 76
Warm - 77 - 83
Real Warm - 84 - 89
Hot - 90 - 99
Damn Hot - 100 and up

Now, on weather.com, they are saying 60% chance of rain on Thursday, but only 10-20% chance for the rest of the weekend! Let's hope it stays that low

Here is my final weather.com update. Squid, in an earlier post, had a personalized forecast for the greater Fontana area, that I'm copying and pasting here. I think I trust Squid's take on it more, but they jive pretty well...

See you all at the Dragon (with your rain gear)!

THE Weather Forecast....

... okay, I'm away from work. I have bandwidth, and I know a lot of folks are logging on for possibly the last time until MOTD.

Therefore, here we go. I hate to use %, as I feel it is a cop out.

OH, and I am a forecaster on the USS SAIPAN; well a Chief, and therefore a babysitter normally. I forecast to keep my qual current and track the guys that work for me.

Dry for the rest of the day, with rain pretty much from 0700 Local (L) to tomorrow at sunrise. Look for temps in the low 70's for highs and mid 50's for lows.

For Thursday, it will be dry all day as the next front stays north of the TN/KY border (not a lot of energy to push it far enough south for now). Highs in the mid/upper 60's and lows in the upper 40's. As the sun sets, the chance of rain will pick back up.

(Posted at 6pm Tue - extended to be edited in shortly....)

For Friday:
Rainshowers with a chance of thunder will move back into the area in the afternoon, after 2pm.

Looks like this will persist through Saturday, mainly steady showers that move through and ending around sunset.

Sunday will be dry as everyone starts to head back. Most folks getting back to the East Coast (read: Norfolk or north) will catch up to the rain again as they get home.

Wish I could make it drier for ya.... but I'm on a government paycheck!

Drive Safe (as if we don't!),
Doug

PS - post questions here, I'll monitor this thread and post another update tomorrow night for those taking off Thursday morning.
