GeminiSun,
That's no problem at all. The lunch is free-form... we are just dropping in on a restaurant and taking care of ourselves... no formal boxed lunch, etc. I've spoken to the restaurant manager so they know that 40-some people in 3 waves will be hitting them on that day. Just make arrangements w/ your group leader that day so they know how to pick you back up w/ the group. If you miss the reunion w/ your group, there will be another one coming along 30 minutes later. You will also have turn-by-turn directions with you in the car, so you won't be completely lost.

I'm on dotBob's 10 am list, but noticed in my event planner that there's no check mark by the SSM drive, which makes me wonder if I need to do something else to sign up. I read somewhere that there's a $5 fee in the NAM store, but couldn't locate it. I just want to make sure I've got everything covered.

No problem! You are covered!
1. If you are on the list in post #2 of this thread, you have a space reserved. Only a few of the events will give you a 'subscribed' mark on the event planner and we aren't one of them. If you are not on post #2, send me a PM or post at the end of this thread and I'll try and get you a space in the drive. There are 4 spaces still open right now.
2. The $5 is your MOTD 2006 Registration... there is no extra cost for this scenic drive. You might have paid $40-45 if you opted for the registraion and full package of MOTD 2006 stuff (t-shirt, tote bag, water bottle, lanyard, badge, etc). The basic $5 registration pays for an insurance policy for participating in the event (ex: If you trip and fall down the stairs while leaving a scheduled event).
For any of the MOTD 2006 events, you will need to display your MOTD 2006 registration, to show that you are covered under the insurance policy. I believe that the policy does not cover you for damage to your car, damage from your car to yourself or others, etc. while on the grounds or public roads... that's up to your personal insurance to take care of. For this scenic drive, there is a legal disclaimer for you to sign (avaliable now in the download-able directions linked in the first post to this thread) on the day of the drive stating, basically, that you are responsible for your own actions while on the drive. I'll provide you with a copy of the directions (for you to keep) and the disclaimer to sign (to return to me) on Saturday morning before your group heads out.
Only 2 weeks until the Dragon!
