Second Annual Cigar Sampling Salon

welshmenwillnotyield and I would like to invite everyone who enjoys good cigars to come share some good smokes and good times with us at Fontana Village.

Let's get together on the porch of the Rec Hall after the Welcome Dinner to hang out, visit, and enjoy some good sticks. And we'd like to invite the aficionados to make it a nightly get-together after the scheduled meal events.

So, bring your favorite cigars and whatever you'd like to drink, such as beer, wine, port, scotch, etc., to enjoy with your MINI mates.

Clo...I forgot to mention on the other page that I'll bring some flavored cigars [for those who want to try them], as well as my old standbys.

If you go to www.tailofthedragon.com you may find a weather link with average day/night temps. I've never needed a heavy coat in all the trips there. A light sweater or jacket should keep her nice and comfy.

Mmmmm....beaujolais!!! YUMMY!

I'll bring my Missouri Port again but I think I better stick to the lightweight cigars

Both the rum and the mandarin Tatianas are excellent mild cigars, meant to be consumed in about 20 min., or so. I keep them on hand for when I want something short but sweet, and when I don't want to light up something more time-consuming. They are inexpensive, have authentic flavors, and prove you do not need to spend a fortune to enjoy smoking cigars.

Would anyone be interested in an alcohol tasting of some kind one night with our smokes? I always enjoy tasting new things while smoking, so far my favorite is Dewers 12 with a CAO Italia.

If your looking for the "hard stuff", I guess you need to start a new thread!

I haven't decided what cigars to bring yet (part of me is contemplating one of the variety of Acid Cigars). Like Chows, I'm also attending the Beer Swap (as if the sig didn't announce that clearly enough ) - but I like a little scotch (I'm thinking Glenfiddich Solera Reserve) with a cigar.

I'll be there with something! When I decide what I'll let you all know.

I'll see you all there too. I don't know what I'm bringing. Maybe I'll just do the blind tasting.

Since I missed the Cigar Salon last year, I would like to join in. I'll be at the Brew Swap as well.
I know very little about cigars, but I have had some that I liked...and some that were awful. The tatianas mentioned above sound intriguing.

This is a very nice way to share some good sticks, some nice beverages, but most of all, some nice company! We had a wonderful time at last year's, and with all the new cigar aficionados planning to attend, this year's will compete with only the Dragon for most exotic smoke!

I guess some "exotic" is of limits Now where was the JR catalog?
Well, I meant lovely, aromatic smokes, Chowsie! I'm sure whatever you bring will be enjoyed!

I found some of the nicest tequila-flavored cigars...these will go nicely with the sangria I'm bringing to sip as we smoke, as well as the Mexican cornbread [for the Chili Cookoff]. Que viva el cinco de mayo, ya know?
