4th annual MOTD forum
As per last nights conversation about rooms dwindling at the Fontana I called up today and booked myself for from the 3rd through the 8th. I'm doing this before I even requested off from work, but I did talk to my boss earlier inthe year and he said it probably wouldn't be a problem. Hopefully it won't be...

I booked on the way out of town last year. We'll be back in the same cabin.. we loved being RIGHT across from the Activity-Center-Thing-Whatever-Its-Called. I'm hoping to drive from MI to FL on the Sat/Sun the week before, then spend a few days there, then drive from FL to Dragon on Thurs w/ a friend, then Dragon to MI w/ the MMMC people on Sunday. Whew! Lots of driving.

Just booked my room for the Dragon, Fontana Inn, May 3-7. According to RandMcnally.com it's almost 10hrs.
Shhhh. It'll be my first time
Anyone from the DC metro area (or anywhere in between) leaving on the 3rd?

CmdrVimes--
unfortunately I got excited and commited. I really need to break that habit.
TSB--
Without sounding creep. We have 2 doubles in our room and we only need 1. I'm pretty sure we can split the room that night if you wanted to head out on the 3rd. Then again, it is 6 months away.

The DCMMers will most likely have a caravan down to the Dragon. Keep an eye in this and the DCMM forums!
Unfortunately, I most likey won't be making it down this year.
I'll be in school at Pensacola, FL.

Hello All
This is my first Post in NAM and I feel it is appropriate that it deals with the Dragon. My name is Pat and I am a member of Ocean State Mini Club up here in Rhode Island. I have heard of the Dragon since my wife bought her Mini (Jester) 18 months ago, in fact the Dragon is the reason I am buying an 06 MCS in January. But lets get to the point,. I will be leading a small group down from New England and I was wondering about any helpful tips you could give me that havn't already been givin in this thread.
Thanx, and I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can.

It's official that I have a room reserved now. Got my paper copy of the reservation in the mail today. Of course I did see the charge on my CC a few days ago.
So I know I have a room, I just don't know the specifics of actually arriving and checking into that room yet.
golden_child, if you check the DCMM forum you will notice that there is a call out to members for a meeting at our current president's house for planning of the volunteer effort. Something might come up at that meeting about a caravan.

Todd's said he'd be willing to help. From a cost, time and complexity standpoint, it'd probably be easiest to have a kind of "hello my name is" temporaryish decal for our MINIs that we could write our NAM (and real names?) on. Has this been done? Would the MotD organizers want to make this a part of the registration package?
Somebody sold these last year, that's in addition to the customized name badges that were sold last year as well... The name badges did well, but I don't recall seeing any of the "auto nametags" on more than 3 or 4 cars at most...
Leaving from MD...
