Now that we're less than two weeks away from MOTD, I know many of you are making your final preparation for heading to Deal's Gap, especially since some of you are planning on arriving in the area a few days early.

With that in mind, here are the details on when you'll be able to pickup your event registration packets, t-shirts, tickets etc...

Event Check-in will be in the lobby of the Recreation Center at Fontana Village. Please note that this is not the same building where hotel registration is at.
Thursday May 5, event check-in will be open from 3:30PM until about 8:30 or so. The exact closing time will depend on when the crowd starts to break up from the Welcome Dinner
Friday May 6, event check-in will be open from noon until 2PM and again from 5PM to 8PM.
Saturday May 7 event check-in will be open from 9 AM until noon, and again from 4 to 4:30PM

In addition a mini-check in for registration cards only will be held during the gathering at the base of the Fontana Dam Friday morning between 7:30 and 8:30AM.

LESS THAN TWO WEEKS??? I'LL NEVER BE READY IN TIME!!!!

 

Event registration .....I will be arriving sometime around midnite Thursday , and I plan on driving the Parade, Cades Cove run , and maybe back for the dam pic. How important is it that I pickup my packet, 'cause it looks like I won't be around when the table is being manned. I have registered already, and should have a packet waiting for me and my two passangers.

 

It's extremely important that you have a registation card at a minimum. You should be able to pick it up during the mini check in at the dam. You'll need to go back to the Fontana later to get the rest of your packet.

 

Does this mean that nothing will be mailed to us? We were only to register the car right not all of the passengers (i will have 3)? - from what i understand the only reason to order a registration package for them would be for the goodies (t-shirt, barf bag (haha), etc.)

 

Nothing is being mailed to you. The only reason to order the full registration packages for your passengers is for the goodies.

We recommend at a minimum the basic registration for your passengers if there is a possibility that they will be driving during any of the driving events. The MOTD registration is required for all drivers.
