Don't really care where we are placed - just think a great shot of all the MINIs (I heard that it might be 300 this year!) would be really worth having!! - -

This is my cousin, George Pearl, and he wanted me to get in touch with you guys about doing this. He told me a few months back that he was asked about doing this, and I told him I would look into this for him, but I've been real busy with work and school.
Anyways, he's a great guy, he loves to talk and harass my dad about not being able to fix the kitchen sink during Thanksgiving 2003, and would love to take a trip up to the mountains to do any photography for us. His background involves criminal forensic photography, but has seen a need for beautiful panoramic photography in recent years, and makes a living of it. If you could see how awesome the picture he took with my father in front of the White House before the secret service approached him and told him to take down the camera, you'd flip!
So yeah, I guess that pretty much sums it up. Any questions?

Excuse me, but I think I own the prize for longest commute to the Dragon.
You see, I travelled from Birmingham Alabama to Los Angeles and back so that I could escort MINIclo across the country. I also drove Wanda most of the way across the country, so I am quite positive that the prize belongs to me.
The title of Road Queen belongs to me!!!!!
I will happily pass the torch to Snoopy when he arrives at the Dragon this year from Australia. . . .

Just to clarify this thread is to gauge interest ONLY in the photos. Not to take orders for them.
There are two challenges with this photo:
1) We need to make sure there is enough interest in getting one to make it worthwhile for the photographer to come.
2) We need to make sure that there is a large enough area that will meet the photographer's needs to take the picture AND get all the cars into that area.
A final decision will be made this weekend regarding this, and then we will contact the photographer to make sure that this is logistically feasible. As of today based on the hotel reservations (not the event registrations) it looks like there will be 200+ MINIs there. With that in mind we need to find out what exactly the photographer needs spacewise in order to make this work. There are not a lot of options for gathering 200+ cars in the same space down there and we need ensure that the one of those options will meet the photographers needs.
