Yes, you read it right...1HP....1 single, solitary horse power.

Ever wondered what life would be like at a slower pace? Want to take a break from running the Dragon or exploring fun roads in Western NC and Eastern TN?

Come take a ride with me. Yes, I love to ride, although I freely admit to being both out of practice and well....I'm fun to watch -- can we say it that way?

I know you want to take a break and SLOW down and enjoy a little ride while at the Dragon. I'm gauging interest now....so let me know if you want take a ride with 1 HP.

Hugs,
PB

Got any info on the rates and times that the horses will be available, sweetie? Sounds like fun! Do they have any MINIature horses?

I will have information once I'm sure that people want to do it. So far what I'm planning are two "formal" rides -- 1 an hour and 1 that is like 3 hours. The horses will be there all weekend (provided I know people want to ride). I know that the Fontana currently charges $15/hour; but I'm hoping to get the "BabsWife is special" discount

Does that help? Can I put you in for a ride?

Hugs,
PB

I'm scared silly of horses but my wife would enjoy it a lot so put us as two interested in the hour ride. I don't think I could last any longer.

If they have donkeys, I would like to reserve one for myself.

I like HP..

Hey, P!

You think you're funny to watch... I'm hysterical. At least the horse usually thinks so... LOL! I'm interested. I don't know the scheduling, but I'll definitely do at least an hour and, though my butt won't thank me , I'll trade that for the 3 hour. Depends on the weekend's event schedule so I can't say for sure which (or both) I'd do...

Absolutely! We were gonna try to go riding this past year, but ran out of time. I used to ride alot when I was a kid. I can even saddle and bridle the beast, if he or she co-operates. I even have well worn cowboy boots. Put me down for both rides.
YE-HAW!

Leave the scheduling part to me. I'm working on the calendar...and while I can't say that you'd be able to do EVERYTHING...I'm hoping that you'd find enough things to keep you busy and enjoying.

Yes, I tend to fall off too....I rode as a child and even went to camp to ride....I have a great time -- but do tend to fall a bit. Yes, I think my butt will not like me for a while -- but heck if it helps work off any of that good Southern food I plan on eating....let's go.

Ok...Consider this one on the books. I'll figure out the details and plan it!

Thanks, looking forward to it.

Sweetie, put sndwave and myself down for the one-hour ride. I know my backside will DEFINITELY thank me for not choosing the three-hour one! LOL! This should be fun!

Last time I rode was in Northeast San Diego county (back in ancient history), and the horse kinda ran away with me! We ended up jumping hedges and waterways! I couldn't walk for a week afterward! HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Does one need to be a proficient rider for this? I have not been on a horse since they towered over me (OK, they still tower over me, but I was only 4' 5" tall then and I have grown a little bit) I have no fear of horses...except that it would start to gallop away with me or something.....

Novices welcome and ENCOURAGED. No, you do not in fact need to know your way around a stable to come along and join our ride.

Welcome to the world of a 1HP.

So KoolMINI, you aren't up for a Midnight Ride on the Dragon via equine?

I am willing to bet that Lady In Red will want to do this, as do I.... But you might want to get a draught horse for me.... (265lbs.) If I do ride, be sure to have some horse tranquilizers at the ready.... for me, not the horse.

I haven't been on a horse in 40 years (+/-)!

Do they have any quarter (1/4) horses?

I think I may have to break out my "low-rider" cool valve stem caps... they flash LED red... looks too cool... I almost wish I had a neon underbody kit for occasions such as this! hahaha
