Route Map

So the current route map looks like this ? Pin "E" is Tommyknocker's in Idaho Springs. Check it out. It comes out at 2 hours 36 minutes -- but hey, that's without the MINI factor!

I like that route, it eliminates the famed Turkey Creek turn off ...plus, more twisties going up through Morrison than if we went 285 to Turkey Creek.

Don't forget that

Tommyknocker is synonymous with WINGS. 6 luscious varieties. And a root beer chaser.

Sorry to miss.

Not trying to be a critic, or a cynic or a nay-sayer or any such, but isn't that route a bit short for the 5 hours we're taking to get there? Maybe we should consider taking Loveland Pass again, to add a bit to the twisties and arrival time.

Thoughts?

(I'm so ready to leave for vacation now.)

Looks like fun to me. Especially since it's looking pretty good for me to be bringing up my own brand new mini cooper.

Jacob, remember, we are MEETING at noon, probably not leaving until 1230p, then a nice RELAXED lunch. If time allows, sure, we can do Loveland pass. I am open to anything. Just did not want those that needed to be there for set up to be late. Trying to accommodate everyone ya know

Good route! Make it even better by adding Loveland Pass instead of the tunnel. Won't cost you much time. Too bad I'll be in the truck pulling a U-Haul trailer with all the MITM tents and stuff instead of driving the MCS.

I'm Dreegon's Jacob, but if you'd prefer to list me separately, then yes.

Only question will be whether or not she has her car... it might be close. Lets all hope that she does, it'll make the caravan bigger.

Loveland Pass Adder

Here's a plan B route including Loveland Pass. Adds about 30 min for a total of 3 hrs. Not bad. We can flip a coin or cast bones or something to decide at the start??

PS -- Mr MINI turned 1 yr old on July 14.

Yes, we are. I hope to be there just a touch before to pick up a few things I need for the trip, but hopefully we will be leaving right around noon or shortly there after.

I'm allowing 45 minutes to drive down from LV. I hope you don't leave right at noon.

Now to go pack some stuff up, get some cash and bring the check-book.
