Thank you MikeMC!
I actually just finished taking the orange indicators from my headlights using this tutorial and it was def as easy as stated. The only thing i had minor delay with was the removing the plastic that holds the turn signal bulb. I removed both torx screws and the thight was still tight and wouldnt even wiggle. But using a long skinny flat head screwdriver I was able to reach the 2 tabs holding the orange indicator and got it out without removing the black plastic.
Here are the results (sorry for the crappy quality, I had to use my phone camera)
Def took less than 15 mins to complete

I am on the way of removing the orange lenses and replace the bulbs.
Can anyone tell me please if these led bulbs fit?

I actually attempted this last night after ordering the bulbs, Not sure if mine is different, but the PY21W part number is for o150 degree offset contacts, but the ones currently in the Mini were 180 degrees off. Anyone else have this issue? (My cooper is an '08 btw)
I got mine on ebay.. here is a link... works fine for me...

headlight removal
I can't believe no one has responded yet; so I'll step up: the four bolts should be able to be removed with a nut driver or socket -- I believe it states either an 8mm or 10 mm socket.
Ill have some pics in a bit. Thanks again
Please excuse the Quality was taken with my iphone. Just took out the lenses. In CA i can have white turn signals so i didnt even have to replace the bulb

I removed the egg yolks on my 2011 Clubman S.
You do not have to remove the headlights.
It is very fast and easy to do.
Remove the bulb, just use your finger or a pencil and pop it out.
Dont worry,it will fall down and you can pull it out from under the low beam.
took like 10 minutes to do. Just need to replace the bulbs with stealth bulbs.

Followed the excellent and superb instructions laid out by jpmcc00
It took me less than 30 mins to complete both sides and I love the look!
When I got the part of popping out the orange lens, I used the screwdriver handle and POP lens out! I did have to use my Dremel and eliminate one pin on the new bulb. They bulbs are not European and do not fit "exact", but they work and no error message.
I have attached pics to show the work.
THANX again to jpmcc00 for the excellent directions!!

I used your write up to do the same thing in my Countryman. Thanks

I did mine today, I bought the stealth #1156 bulbs from Bavarian Autosport (www.BavAuto.com) . They look great!! Thank you for the clear tutorial. I used my hand to pop out the amber lenses, I was afraid the screwdriver would pop through and hit the inside of the headlight lens. Easy as pie!

Spend the $100 as the clear looks better than no lens plus the rears will be done already.
I wished I had when I bought my Mini
I did it!
Without taking out the headlight!
I removed the turn signal light as if to change the bulb, reached in with my finger and pushed the orange lens out.
The first one that I did was a bit tricky because the lens flipped over and then did not fit to fall through the bottom of the assembly.
I left it alone and went to work on the other lens.
I popped it out with my finger and it fell right out of the bottom of the headlight assembly.
Then I went back and carefully "fiddled" with the other lens until it flipped over and fell out as well.
I was getting ready to take out that headlight when the lens finally flipped over.
Wow!
20 minutes total time for entire mod, including time spent trying to flip one lens over.
Both orange lenses are intact, no broken clips, and stored away in case I ever want to replace them.
Can't imagine that I will though.
Thanks for this thread!
