Little more up date.
I checked the exhaust back pressure before the Cat and it is 0psi so the Cat is not plugged up.
But here is a weird one. The temp before the Cat is around 380-450 deg. And after the Cat its only about 140-215 deg.
From what I read if the cat is working it should be hotter after the Cat. as it burns up carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons.
If the Cat is not working shouldn't the temp be the same before and after? Or is this low temp a sign of a bad Cat?

With the mileage on your car it could be a sign of a bad cat. Check for an exhaust leak at the post cat flange as well.

Oh, also, I don't believe the 2096 can be cleared by most code readers, even if the problem is fixed.

2096 is a "hard" code and it will not clear with any code readers out there.

Take a look at this thread for more information.

And, this is my story about 2096 that never came back on after the "reset". You may want to try that before replacing parts.
