I am considering a 2019 Countryman S ALL4 for sale with a rebuilt title Listed at https://www.pablocars.com/details/us...yman/119597309

The dealer in another listing says, "The reason for the lower price is a KANSAS REBUILT TITLE due to a front end collision, where the hood, bumper, and radiator were replaced. No frame damage, and no airbags deployed. Car comes with 1 factory key, and tires are in good condition."

I found the photos of this Mini at an auction site where it was previously sold and the damage looks pretty extensive.

Is it possible to have this front end damage and the air bags not deploy?

 

No, with few exceptions, airbags generally won't deploy if a car is fully off and parked. Perhaps that is what happened here?

 

OK, good information. Maybe someone with a lifted pickup backed into it.

I was really interested in this Countryman, but I never got a reply from the dealer and FB marketplace now says it is unavailable. There is a Craig's List listing that is still up, but it is apparently gone. My research on it did convince me that we do want a Gen 3 Countryman, so I'll keep looking for the right one.
