F60 Need Clutch recomendations
Hi, It's been a while since I posted anything here. I have a MY18 JCW Countryman with 80K miles. My pressure plate is bad and the dealer wants $5,700 to fix it.
What are good aftermarket choices for clutch / flywheel
Does anyone know any tuners in the Maryland/DC area that is reputable
Is $5,700 a reasonable price?

The dual mass flywheel is almost $2000, so they are probably including the cost for a new one. Total new dealer parts cost is probably around $3000, so that repair bill doesn’t sound too far off for dealer work.
I’ve been happy with the ClutchMaster kit in my R55 Clubman. They make different options for the 3rd gen cars now:

The FX100 will be closest to stock. Make sure you select the kit for OEM flywheel if you decide to keep the dual mass setup. If you want to go single mass on the flywheel, get their steel flywheel to keep overall stock feel.
I can’t make any recommendations for shops, as I’m not in the area, but I would try to find a BMW performance/race shop and see about having them perform and oil change or wheel alignment. Getting in there and talking with the techs and owners might give you a feel for how they might be able to handle a clutch repair.
