Automatic trans behavior in MID setting

As I'm learning my new CM I have noticed some behavior in regular "D" in the MID mode that I didn't notice in other models I test drove and am wondering if it's normal and I just missed it or if I should be looking to have the dealer do a relearn.

I've noticed that coming to/at a stop it's like the transmission shifts into neutral and therefore when I release the brake there's quite a large abrupt delay before the car will start creeping, needing me to plan releasing the brake to take off. It's caught me off guard as well when I've almost come to a stop and then get back on the throttle...it's like stumbles and doesn't know what to do.

It almost reminds me of how a dual clutch acts but I have an ALL4 with the 8-speed traditional auto. Also to note if I'm in S or M mode there is no delay at all and acts more how I would describe normal behavior, it also happens with or without auto start activated (having it activated makes it worse though)

Am I nutso?

My 2019 JCW AWD 8-speed doesn't do that.

When I use the brakes to stop, it's interesting that about a second after a full stop, the front end of the car will drop a mm or two as the RPM's drop a bit more...and that's when the transmission seems to be disengaged...sort of like DCT's do. Once the brakes are on, the RPM's drop and front end drops, then when I let my foot off the brake, the car doesn't roll backwards.

If I don't put on the brakes, and simply let off the accelerator pedal to slow down, the car will climb a fairly steep hill in idle.

So, there are a couple of funky thinks going on, but, it doesn't sound like what yours is doing.
