I don't feel like taking out a second mortgage to get the MINI, Thule, or Yakima crossbars.

Anyone have a recommendation on a different brand, preferably around 100-150?

I have the ones in your amazon link. They fit well, look good, and serve their purpose. Not the finest craftmanship but good enough for the price

Anybody know the length (dimensions) of the mini brand cross bars?


I would probably rather go OEM (this), but I'm concerned they not be long/wide enough and the extra height on top of the raised rails makes me a bit cautious.... looks funny.

 

I purchased these because they have a slightly lower profile and the bars were aerodynamic... thicker on the leading edge tapering down on the trailing edge. They seem quiet compared to others that make a whistling noise at high speed. (75+ mph)

edit: note I don't have a sunroof, so I'm not concerned with the relatively lower profile - was a plus for me.
